  Serves: makes 1 1/2 pounds
Ingredients
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 cup butter, melted
3 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1 cup chopped almonds, toasted
6 oz. pkg. (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Butter cookie sheet.

2. In medium saucepan, combine sugar, butter, water and corn syrup. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, to hard crack stage (300 deg), about 30 minutes.

3. Stir in half of almonds. Pour mixture onto prepared cookie sheet immediately spread to 1/4 inch thickness.

4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot candy let stand 1 minute. Spread evenly to cover.

5. Sprinkle remaining almonds over chocolate.

6. Cool until chocolate has set. Break into pieces.
