  Serves: makes about 2 dozen
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg yolk
2 Tbl. evaporated milk
1 1/8 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
1. Soften butter in medium bowl. Cream butter with back of spoon.

2. Add brown sugar and beat until smooth.

3. Add egg yolk, evaporated milk and vanilla and beat well.

4. Add flour and baking powder. Stir until thoroughly mixed.

5. Stir in chocolate chips & walnuts.

6. Drop by rounded tablespoonful onto greased baking sheets.

7. Bake in preheated 350 deg oven for 12 minutes or golden on bottom.
