Ingredients
2/3 cup butter
2 3/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups sifted cake flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 cups milk
Instructions
1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add eggs and vanilla and continue beating.

3. Sift flour and baking powder together.

4. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Beat after every addition. Beat 1 minute.

5. Bake in2 greased and lightly floured 9 inch cake pans at 350 deg for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool 10 minutes remove form pans. Cool.
