Ingredients
4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
*1 tsp. cream of tartar
*2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup butter
1 cup raisins
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk

* may substitute 4 tsp. baking powder
Instructions
1. Sift flour, sugar, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt together into medium bowl.

2. Cut in butter.

3. Mix in eggs and milk, just until moistened.

4. Mix in raisins.

5. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.

6. Bake in 400 deg oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Until golden brown.
