  Serves: makes 12 2x3" squares
Ingredients
*2 cans apples
*1 cup sugar
*1/2 cup brown sugar
*2 Tbsp. flour
*1/2 tsp. salt
*1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 pkg. dry spice cake mix
1/4 cup softened butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

*May use apple pie filling instead.
Instructions
1. Heat oven to 350 deg.

2. Combine apples, sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt and lemon juice in 13x8 inch pan.

3. Spread evenly over bottom of pan.

4. Mix dry spice cake mix and butter to a crumble and layer over apple mixture, or place a layer of dry spice cake mix over apples and drizzle melted butter over top.

5. Sprinkle walnuts over top.

6. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

7. Eat as is or top with whip cream or ice cream.
