Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 1/2 cups milk
3 egg yolks, beaten
1 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Instructions
1. Combine sugar, salt and cornstarch in sauce pan.

2. Blend in milk

3. Cook over low heat until thickened.

4. Cool, then add egg yolks and mix well.

5. Continue cooking over low heat for 5 minutes.

6. Add butter and vanilla.

NOTE: Also makes a good pie filling.
