Ingredients
1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 Tbsp. flaked onion or 2 Tbsp. fresh minced onion (optional)
3-4 medium potatoes (2 cups)
paprika
Instructions
1. Heat oven to 375 deg.

2. Simmer flour, milk, salt, pepper and onion on top of stove to thicken.

3. Meanwhile peel and slice potatoes.

4. Butter a 2 qt casserole dish and layer potatoes and sauce (2 to 3 layers each).

5. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes.

6. Sprinkle with paprika when done.

NOTE: For Au Gratin:  Add 1 cup grated cheddar cheese (1/4 lb), 3/4 cup for layering and 1/4 cup for topping.
