  Serves: makes 2 dozen
Ingredients
1 cup sour dough start
2 cups flour
2 cups warm water
2 Tbsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. salt
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
2 cups whole wheat flour
5 - 6 cups unbleached flour
1 cup sesame seed
Instructions
1. In large bowl mix sour dough start, flour and warm water together. Remove and save 1 cup of new start.

2. Add baking powder, salt, brown sugar, eggs, buttermilk and whole wheat flour. Stir until blended.

3. Stir in 2 cups unbleached flour.

4. Stir in 2 more cups of the unbleached flour and begin to knead.

5. Stir in remaining unbleached flour slowly. Don’t make the dough too stiff.

6. Shape dough into rolls. Dip rolls into buttermilk and pat into sesame seed.

7. Place on oiled cookie sheet. Bake at 350 deg for 25 minutes.

8. Remove the rolls from cookie sheet and boil to lightly brown seed.
