Ingredients
Dough:
2 cups flour
1 egg
2 Tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 cup lukewarm water

Filling:
12 apples, cleaned, skinned, diced
1/3 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
nuts (optional)
raisins (optional)
Instructions
1. Sift flour into a bowl. Make a depression in the middle of the flour.

2. Add the salt, egg and butter the depression in the flour. Mix.

3. Add water and form dough (should feel soft but not sticky). Let sit for 1 hour.

4. Roll dough out on floured surface.

5. Spread melted butter over rolled out dough.

6. Spread apples over dough and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and nuts or raisins if desired.

7. Roll up carefully. Seal ends.

8. Bake at 275 deg for 70 minutes.

9. Serve hot with vanilla sauce or cooled with whipped cream.
